This article discusses the nature of teaching and highlights new ways to think about a conceptual framework to promote a better teacher education program. The article compares several countries to show the different ideas that each country has come up with to find a common ground on how the education systems should choose the future of educators. As students get older, the success and failure of reading in schools is tied to their ability to understand informational texts. This Journal states, that in order for students to understand the information that they are given they must first succeed at getting students to see that reading is a valuable and important skill that must be supported in a classroom context. This is hard when most schools do not place a high priority on learning in reading. The utilisation of reading is something that must be placed at the forefront of a student 's education. It must be used in the classroom and outside of the classroom as well. Politicians who decided that it was needed to help students succeed developed the creation of a standard curriculum. Ravitch makes a case in the novel that improvement of curriculum and instruction is more effective in improving the quality of schooling than are changes in structure and governance. It also goes into detail that how when the reform was decided, the standardised test came into education to measure a student’s progress as well as his/her accountability. I will use examples from this book to talk about how less effort is actually being put into teaching new material to students.
