Criterion A – Introduction:
To what extent does the relationship between the level of educational attainment affect the health of U.S. Citizens?

Introduction:
With the rapid increase in population in the United States of America, comes the challenges in maintaining a healthy population. A testimony of a free society is education, as individuals chase after the depths to explore the world. Therefore, with the importance of education in youth’s lives, there comes the pressure to maintain an educated populace. With challenges such as increased prices at colleges/universities, a recent economic recession, and higher demands and expectations, have slowed this progression. Pointing to the positive prospects of getting an education such as, better employment prospects, longer life expectancy, and accessibility to more life resources. While pointing to the negative prospects of not getting an education such as, higher likelihood of incarceration, shorter life expectancy, and higher rates of poverty in a community. Therefore, as an individual goes through a degree from an Associate’s degree to a Postgraduate degree, the individual climbs the ladder towards a precedent view. The two variables used for the topic are the level of educational attainment (x) and a health index rating (y). Furthermore, the two simple mathematical processes used for the topic are correlation, and linear regression {possibly}; the advanced mathematical process used for the topic are chi-square test {once learned}. Through the expanding data, will provide a correlation, accomplished through creating a Pearson's product-moment correlation coefficient table, with each summation of seven categories. Furthermore, using the sum of the seven categories of input in the formulas for Pearson’s product-moment correlation coefficient. The purpose of the first mathematical process, correlation, would be to identify a possible relationship between the two variables. Additionally, compose a digitized image of the scatter plot {implemented from the Microsoft Excel Program}. Afterward, if the correlation passes standards (r > .4), will numerically create a mathematical expression through line regression. The linear regression solved through a formula, which will find a trend line, to establish clear evidence of the possible correlation. Additionally, compose a digitized image of a scatter plot with the trend line{implemented from the GDC}.
