This is seen in both the play “Educating Rita” by Willy Russell and the TEDtalk “Overcoming Hopelessness”, Spoken by Nick Vujicic. Educating Rita follows the story of Rita, a married hair stylist in her 20’s going back to school to further her education and to have greater opportunities. Overcoming Hopelessness shows the choices we make and how important they can be to have opportunities open up for you. Both texts play very largely on your choices impacting your opportunities, and thus shaping you as a person.
