For those who do graduate and make it to community college, roughly 60 percent will need to take at least a remedial class.” I was very surprised when I saw these numbers, but I can tell that it is true. The number of young students that barely graduate from high school taking remedial cursers is extremely high. More than that, they are not motivated, they are overwhelmed and unprepared. Those without a college degree are twice as likely to be unemployed than those with college degree. Unfortunately, these statistics are very accurate, and there is a clear argument in Bills Gates’ essay explaining the original problem which initiates in high school.
