I must admit this class wasn’t what I expected. I definitely felt the harmony in the classroom from day one. My favorite part about this class was the, Who am I websites. I enjoyed listening and learning about everybody's life. We have way too much in common our foods, music, lifestyles, families, friends religious, career goals, and etc. Although, I still believe a couple of students didn’t receive the unity messages.
Learning about socioeconomic status, race, religion, and cultures were all significant. I wish the textbook elaborated more especially on the socioeconomic and religion chapters. According to the text, The economic condition of a person or group is measured by certain criterion. For example, African-Americans and Latinos are in the same categories. Meaning, no matter how much education we get we will continue to receive less pay. Men will continue making more money than women with the same credentials. Does this mean I will not be blessed absolutely not! I use to despise people who tried to force religion on me. My views on religion are it’s more so to help individuals with self-discipline and to keep control of the people. For example, people put their money in the church bucket and are told you get back hope and a future after death. Now, any religion who tells me I get to experience heaven when I die that is a religion I don’t need. While the Caucasians, Chinese, and Indians, men all have their heaven on earth.
