The students will be watching a real Shark Tank episode and identifying the steps that are necessary in order to present a product. Along the way, the students begin to build their product and business plan with their groups. Roles are handed out for the students to complete throughout the day. This ensures that everyone is on task and working. In addition, they will each be completing the questions on the EdPuzzle. As the video plays, there will be pauses in which the students must answer a question. Those responses are recorded and reported to the teacher by the program. Finally, in Lesson three, the students complete their business plan, creation of a product, and presentation. This is the final assessment and activity. The students are engaged and challenged by the opportunity. They want their product to be the winning choice, so they are willing to work hard and put forth the effort to impress the Judges. Along with their presentation, they will write a short essay explaining the risks they took along the way. In general, this entire unit prepares the students for implementing business plans.
