Step 1: Identify surface problems
The problem is that Edna is lesbian Employee working in environment where people don’t like gay people even though Whizware, the company encouraged a gay support group to form. Even though, she does not want her sexual orientation to be known, she has been harassed by David Southam who seems to not like gay people. That situation is going to affect Edna’s relationship with her partner Janice if she does not find the way to make things right.
Step 2: Ask Why-Why to get root problem
The root problem is that Edna think too much about the feeling of other employees. She just want to look alright as something was wrong with her. She hides who she really is and I think she should come out and let everyone knows that she is gay since the company has nothing against gay people.
