The Edmonton Grads photo looks more sophisticated since the players were mostly likely posing for a photographer professionally. However, one could imagine the pride and accomplishment that not only themselves, but everyone who supported them is feeling. Back in the twenties, you see women trying many new different things and evolving and moving forward from the old, traditional ways. Basketball was not an olympic sport for women that time. Now, you see many different countries have national teams for different ages of women. Also you see different ethnicities in the photo of Canada’s National team, unlike in the Edmonton Grads photo, where all the players were white.
