City of God (2002, Fernando Meirellas, Katia Lund) has a very unique editing style. Some of the scenes have cuts between certain characters points of view. One example of this is during Benny’s (Phellipe Haagensen) going away party where the audience are watching Li'l Zé’s (Leandro Firmino) point of view where he is making the party goer strip for his amusement, then the camera cuts to Benny and Angelica (Alice Braga) dancing having a great time. Throughout this scene we also see Rocket (Alexandre Rodrigues) and Blacky’s (Rubens Sabino) point of views as well. This allows the audience to experience everything that is happening at the party, the good, the bad and the ugly. It also allows the audience to pinpoint what everyone was doing at the
