“He was brought up in a culture.. in that society there was real sense of belief, a religious belief political belief.. that there was no such thing as equality between blacks and whites, and that's the way he viewed them” Hoover was usually going again the civil rights movement and not giving it much attention to what was originally happening. One of the positive change that J. Edgar Hoover can do to give to the US is the way he has changed the FBI, more towards the Civil Rights movement, and how he has given up on the presidential election from sensitive information. Most of the things he has done for the Presidential Election, the people he was basically against did not like what he was doing. Hoover gave out so much private imformation about all of the leaders and they decided to just tell him to drop out and not be part of it. He has given a strong support in Congress, maybe due to all of the intelligence he had gathered about individual politicians and he remained director under every president from Coolidge to Nixon until his own death. However, the FBI has been named after Hoover because of the controversial nature of his legacy there have been several proposals to rename it. Edgar in his own power has disband any organizations that were consider3ed subersive that has included the Black Panthers, the Socialist Workers Party and the KKK. Nevertheless, Edgar J Hoover has accomplished many things and some has lead to him getting in trouble but they have helped many organizations even the FBI. He has emphasized techiniques, improved training, and ontained increased funding from Congress for the organization. John Dillinger has made Hoover one of the national hero’s.
