The tone of the poem speaks for itself, it includes a sinister voice of a dreadful man morning over his dead wife Lenore. Being left alone in his chamber he tries not to think about it but he knows she’s gone, he still feels the pain within. When the raven comes bursting through the window it reminds him and more of Lenore which makes him more and more depressed.
