They had been through so much together. They had endured confinement and segregation. Even when they thought they had become a part of something bigger than themselves, they had been forced to carry heavy loads in toxic air environments. But they had endured it all. They had stayed together through it all. It had been tough, but they had made it.

He could not prevent the loneliness or stop the bleeding of his heart. He just wanted to be with her.
But that was not his destiny.
Over and over, he endured the abuse and torture. All that kept him going was that one day he would be reunited with his one true love. As each day fell away, he was paired with many girls; he was never paired with her.
He couldn’t blame the others. It wasn’t their fault. However, just looking at them made his heart weep. They looked so much like her, but they weren’t here. It was the worst torture of all.
Days turned into months, which quickly turned into a year. He had endured all he could, but the dreadful cruelty was finally breaking him. He was missing physical pieces of himself. What was left of his body was bruised and aching. He could bear no more. Obviously, his master was beginning to see the same.
It was only a matter of days more before he was thrown away with the rest of the garbage. As he lay among broken glass and rotting leftovers, his final hope was shattered. This was it. This was his fate. He would never see her again.
