The story Tell Tale Heart was written by Edgar Allan Poe and published in 1843. In the story the young man wants to kill the old man because the thinks the has a vulture eye. The makes a plan on how is going to kill him, while the stalks him. The young man in the story is crazy. The first reason why he is crazy is because in the first paragraph the states they “I have heard many things in the heaven and in the earth. I heard many things in hell.” The young man thought he was hearing the old man's heart when it was his. So he could not tell the difference between the sound of his heart and the old man's heart.
