The first story that explained how Poe dealt with grief and depression was called “ the Black Cat”. “The Black Cat was about a man who was mad and had killed his cat and his wife. When the man had killed his cat, he felt very sad and guilty, after that he started to feel sad which then he started to drink lots, and lots, of alcohol.
