Edgar Allan Poe, born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 19, 1809 as son of his mother Elizabeth Arnold Poe and his father David Poe Junior, whom have already had one son named Henry. Both of his parents were traveling actors about the time he was born. Poe experienced his earliest sign of loss either shortly before or after his sister’s birth, which was about a year later.
