Finance is the lifeblood of every foundation. Therefore, no organization can achieve its aims without sufficient cash outlay. In the same capacity, the EdFirst Foundation is a victim of circumstances. The organization is concerned with the provision of mentoring and afterschool programs, as well as other resources for the k-12 children from the low-income families in the inner cities. Historically, the foundation is open to all the children from the ten cities where the EdFirst operates. Similarly, all the families that fall under the federal poverty line receive all the services for free. Notably, the children from the families that are above the federal poverty line are served at highly discounted rates annually.
