Edenboro Character Description

The character I chose to introduce to you is Ben because he is the main character in the book. In the book, Ben goes through many changes and faces many obstacles and situations. Ben moved to Edenboro, Massachusetts from Tucson, Arizona four months before the book takes place and doesn’t like it there, but he slowly begins to think of Edenboro as his home. He finds animals very interesting. Ben is also a kind and friendly person because it states on page 175 to 176 that Ben screams at Frankie to leave Ryan alone and goes to Ryan’s birthday party instead of working on his report since Agatha told him that he and Jenny were Ryan’s only friends. This shows he cares for his friends.

Throughout the novel, Ben remains the same in some ways and

At the start of the novel, he wanted to move back to Tucson, Arizona because it states on page 32 that Ben asks his father if they could move back home to Tucson if his dad didn’t like his job or the job didn’t work out. He felt that his home was still in Tucson. But then on page 218, it says that Ben feels right at home in Massachusetts. Also, on pages 207 to 208, Ben tells Mrs. Turner that he wanted to do his report on the desert because he really loved living there, but when he started on the report he didn’t feel like doing it anymore and instead decided to do it about what it’s like where he lives now. As Ben began to consider Massachusetts home, he finally considered Jenny and Ryan as his friends. Ben was once sure he wouldn’t be able to make friends because on page 3, Ben wished that he had real friends like his best friend, Toby, in Tucson instead Jenny or Ryan. Ben didn’t consider Jenny or Ryan his friend since felt that Jenny only talks to him because she sits in front of him and Ryan is officially wacko even though Ryan wants Ben to sit next to him. As the story progress, Ben began to see them as friends and trust them to help him with his report since on pages 204 to 205, he had Jenny and Ryan helped him find creatures for his report on vernal

Up until now, masculinity has been defined by a certain set of guidelines described well by Joe Ehrmann. The first of them is “billfold”, which refers to monetary gain and how much money someone makes as a way to describe if they are successful. The next is “ballfield”, which talks about athleticism and how those who can do more physically should be seen as better as someone else. The final description is “bedroom” and is very objectifying to women because it thinks of those who have many partners in ben to be the most popular. Society has believed that this is what a “man” needs to be happy and to be successful.…

WWW8 In William Faulkner’s novel The Sound and The Fury, he enlists different characters like Benjy, a thirty-three year old disabled and mentally ill member of the Compson family to illustrate life in the South during the Reconstruction era of American history. Benjy’s narration is unique in that it warps time, amalgamating many different memories with the present. Benjy’s role within the Compson family and within The Sound and the Fury is to represent unity, both in the familial sense, and within the context of the novel, since Southerners desired to unite pre-Civil War ideals with the present time; he is a reminder of the suffering that both the Compson family and the South endured.…
