Eddie’s Coffee Shop (ECS) opened this branch three months ago, in an attempt to expand its capacity and as part of its growth strategy. This new branch, being the latest ECS has opened, already have a well-developed client base who have become regular customers probably because the place is new and it gives a better experience than the big old shops in and around the neighborhood. The branch is looking for the best ways to still boost the sales.
There are many ways the store can use to achieve this purpose. The company is considering in-store promotion owing to its capacity to build product awareness and bring people to understand a brick and mortar business. When using this method, consider the products you will lower, the amount of discount and the period the discount will run. The store can reduce prices on a broad range of goods for all customers. Then store can then use media to advertise and let people know of its new prices. The store can also use loss-leaders which involve keeping track of changes in the market, and when you realize a particular demand of product you offer a steep discount. Like reducing the price tag on coffee for a cold evening. The third way of using promotional pricing is bundle-pricing, create a higher perceived value and lower cost for products that are favorable to customers. The store can achieve this by collecting customers’ emails and then do email marketing after the client leaves. The email can consist of any promotional offers and discounts. There is a perceived value of treasure the customer gets just by being on the store’s mailing list. Many apps offer this service in the market like Belly and Chimpadeedo you can use alongside another point of sale system (Khan).
Other methods one can consider is promotional graphics where you can advertise on the packaging and the use of social and digital media. Let customers know of your Facebook page and Twitter Handle. If they follow you, you can reach them at their homes in their private space. Reach them live with promotional videos and special events. Customers can also retweet your promotional messages to their friends reaching a wider clientele. Holding a gala event complete can attract shoppers who were just passing by. You can offer free health screening to your customers during this period
