A part of the chorus goes as, “The worst things in life come free to us,” is the bitter truth that life is never going to be fair. A majority of abusers had goals and wished to succeed in life until, all of the sudden, they were trapped in a perpetual cycle. The song, “The A Team” by the British alternative singer, Ed Sheeran, narrates the unfortunate story of a prostitute fighting a battle against her addiction to cocaine. Sheeran uses comparisons and clever expressions to narrate the girl’s story, consciously using ambiguous lyrics such as, “Stuck in her daydream” (Line 9) which are open to different interpretations. He keeps an upbeat tune from beginning to end in attempts to hide the depressing tale.…

In his podcast, “Hallelujah,” Malcolm Gladwell explains that the difference between being a conceptual innovator and an experimental innovator is essentially time and experience. Experimental innovators, Gladwell explains, are like marathoners. They take their time and work slowly towards their goals; no matter how long it takes them, they know at some point that there will be an end, they just don’t know when their work will end and stop changing. Conceptual innovators on the other hand, are like sprinters, they meet their goals early in their life when they are much younger, and they make less changes to their work. When their work is done, it is done and they don’t change anything about it.…
