These theories are different from each other because they do not have the same definitions. It depends what theories actually is for that person because you can understand the person’s behavior. There are theories that can be more toward that person’s behavior. The theory that applies to my serial killer is biology, genetic and evolution because Ed Gein is mentally ill and also because the mother thought him what was right and wrong. He was actually an insane person because he lived with corpse, used the bones for daily use. The solitary was the main trigger that he started to dug up graves to find a body that resembled his mother. Another theory would be Social disorganization theory because of the physical and social environment that trigger the behavior which it was Ed Gein mother taught him that sex was a sinful thing to do. The mother was a religion person that wanted him to be a person of good but instead it made him desire the women which he had intercourse with corpse. But all those little things had trigged him to do the crimes. This theory means that the victim is targeted based on their lifestyle choices. Worden had contact with Ed because he would frequently go to her store. So Ed Gein was purposely doing it to see her routine, but he planned it out first by observing her while he was at her store. The method of operation know as modus operandi, is that every killer has his own method. Gein’s method was that he was antisocial which he never was a center of attention. He would plan his abduction like he did with Mrs. Worden. His method was that he liked to collect human body parts and had them as decorations but he was a messy person that never got rid of any evidence in his home. Ed’s victims had to resemble his mother, like Mary Hogan and Bernice Worden.
