As the disease develops, the patient develops the symptoms such as seizures, tremors or trembling, shaking, stunted growth, hyperactivity, bad skin conditions such as eczema, musty odour breath, skin and urine. They also suffer from behavioural and social problems. The characteristics they would have is a smaller head size, which is called microcephaly, possess extra phenylalanine due to the musty odour breath, skin and urine, fair skin, blue eye due to the body failure to transform phenylalanine into the melanin which is a pigment responsible for the persons colouring.
