The “Hunger Games” is a story about a government body (the Capitol) that forces two people who live in each of the twelve districts to fight to the death against each other. They do this for entertainment purposes and to keep the people who live in the districts under control of the government. The people who live in the Capitol, however (place where all wealthy and powerful people live, not to be confused by the government) are perfectly fine as they follow the government’s beliefs and values. The theory of Keynesian was mainly about government spending and control. Keynesian lead to more money, jobs and growth which help benefit the economy. He was in favour of capitalism as it formed strong government system and economy. Business can employ and pay people to work resulting citizens to spend the money on things they want. This would drastically change the economic structure of the story from a command economy to a market economy. In the Hunger Games, the districts are controlled by governments where they have restrictions surrounding business and resources. The regulations set in place were due to revolutionary war erupted many years ago. The ideas of Keynes would remove the restrictions of business and let the residents of the districts to sell goods and services. In addition to Keynes theories, his ideas would likely change the economic structure of the story significantly. For instance, with Keynes theories of government spending it would lead to changing of the government system. First and foremost, the citizens of the districts would change their lifestyle as they would have many work options, not just working in the coal mines. The job payment option would change as people would receive money instead of ration tickets. The ration tickets would be unnecessary as cash would replace the tickets, considering there would be more usages than ration tickets which can be used for food only. People would receive cash as currency to buy necessary resources such as human, natural and capital. This would begin an economic cycle, where citizens would work to obtain money and spend on goods and services. Ultimately, in the district it would eliminate scarcity as with Keynes concepts, would lead to individuals obtaining jobs. Without, Keynes theories implemented in the Hunger Games people would still be unemployed and have no food consequently leading to deaths from starvation, dehydration or some other form. Furthermore, to Keynes concept of more jobs it would lead to people spending money on goods and services. The Hunger Games would be removed seeing with additional employment there wouldn’t be much time for entertainment. The end of the Hunger Games and people working would eventually caused children in the story to go to school and become educated. With this it would mean Katniss and Peeta wouldn't have to participate in the Hunger Games and fight to the death
