There were three ecological effects that had a big impact on the earth which involved air, water, and soil. Coal was used to power factories and trains which lead to a contributor to smog. Air pollution became a serious issue due to the iron and steel factories because they release toxins into the air. The water was affected by the people and companies discarding sewage and waste into the rivers and canals.
