Purpose
Eco Ports are specialized lockers made for helping students that are a part of the technological education systems have access to an easy, convenient, and reliable way of charging their school-assigned computers.
What is it made of?
Well, they aren't called Eco Ports for nothing. Each of our specially designed lockers are made from completely recycled materials, which cuts back on the waste of metals, plastic, and even e-waste.
Design
Our Eco Ports are made just as standard lockers are for the most part, but the main part of them is the upper shelf that connects to a source of electricity (these would need to be adapted into possible newer or renovated schools, as an electrical connection is needed) via a _________. Students are then able to charge their computers in their lockers during a period of time they are not using them, such as during lunch or even overnight. This helps resolve a problem that is facing many high school students across the country: irresponsibility. Students that are assigned a chromebook and charger, the Cleveland and Gaston Early Colleges for example, have a hard time making sure that 1) Their computer is charged and 2) They have their charger on-hand when need be. Eco Ports are made to help remedy these problems that can and will hinder a student's education.
