Eco 372 Week 4 Analysis

Decent Essays
Week four’s devotional had no suggested scripture attached but the emphasis is on following guidelines and procedures. The focus of this week’s exercises will focus on the APA format which is the academic format for academic documents. Thinking about this process, I am reminded of what Paul said to the church at Corinth in First Corinthians 14:40 where he said “let all things be done decently and in order.” We as child of God must know we server a God of order and direction. God expects his children to not only know his commandment and instructions, but he expects us to follow his commandments and instruction.
Deuteronomy 6:6-8 says, “And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently

Every business is required by law to have some form of security policy in place that will protect their customer’s information. How robust these policies are, may, and do, differ from company to company and can depend on many different factors unique to each individual business. This week we began to revisit the employment law textbook. In Chapter 12, we discussed wages, hours, and pay equity. Of the first topics we discussed was the federal minimum wage. States are required to meet the federal minimum wage, but can provide more. I was not surprised that California had a higher minimum wage because the cost of living is extremely high there, especially compared to Texas.…

Moses is repeating the ten commandments which God made on Mt. Sinai, in order to help guide the Israelites in their new life, following their escape from bondage in Egypt. The overall purpose for the book was to teach the Israelites who God was in terms of what he did for them and what he expected of them. This passage was just an excerpt of Moses reminding the Israelites what God demanded of them. In the immediate context of the passage, Deuteronomy 6:1-9 showed how God commanded the Israelites to love and worship him wholeheartedly and pass that on to younger generations, validating the covenant for…

Paul advises God’s followers to live worthy lives in Christ (4:1). “I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called.” Ephesians 4:1-6 are the first verses following the preceding half of the book. Similar to how one would plan to write an essay or dissertation, Paul uses the first verses of the second half to operate as a mock thesis statement for the rest of the book. In this short excerpt, Paul highlights the principle of putting the life God provided his followers to use.…

David L. Thompson presented such a firm beginning foundation on the idea of inductive Bible study through his book Bible Study That Works. In his book, the readers are able to learn how to deepen their knowledge in the Bible and study the Bible thoroughly instead of simply studying about the Bible. This paper will discuss what I understand to be Thompsons basic view on Bible study, what I learned about effective Bible study that I did not know before, which aspect of effective Bible study will be most challenging for me, and will close with the current level of motivation I personally have as we begin diving into inductive Bible studies. Inductive Bible study is defined in our text as “an approach to inquiry in which students learn by examining the study themselves and drawing their own conclusions..” (Thompson, p. 12).…

The Sermon on the Mount centrally speaks about Jesus’s exposition of the law and its application that leads to transformation of the inward person reflected in the outer works of man. In these chapters Jesus seeks to remind the people of the intent of the Law of God and also to empower them to keep it. The main point of the law is found in chapter 5: 48, “Be ye therefore perfect as your Father which is in heaven is perfect”. This perfection is the fulfillment of the verses in Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18, as restated in Luke 10:27: love God and love your neighbor. But the fulfillment of this commandment of perfection is not mere moralism.…

(Isaiah 28:9). We must grow into spiritual maturity by eating the meat of God’s Word and leaving the milk behind. In fact, in many churches, you not only get the milk bottle, but in many cases, it is sour milk. Many Christians and even preachers are exposed to those who know better, as we see them drinking the milk, teaching the milk, and choking on the meat when it comes to “precept must be upon precept.” Our reasoning for this is that if they did apply all the scriptures in the entire Bible to their doctrines and daily lives, it may just expose something they do not want exposed.…

The three earliest letters of Paul combined present an in depth view of life after death and resurrection of Christ. This essay will aim to uncover texts of particular relevance through 1 Thessalonians 4 and 1 Corinthians 15. He is aware of his following within the community and understands that his teaching has a crucial influence on those who listen to him.…

To obey God we must know Him. John 14:15 says “If you love me, you will keep my commandments”. How can a person keep his commandments unless we make Christ the object of our faith? Once we do this then the Holy Spirit will help us do what we need to do in keeping His commandments. Jesus said in John 14: 16 “And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another comforter, that He may abide with you forever.…
