Echocardiography Goals

Decent Essays
My current goals as a student in the echocardiography program include developing an effective study schedule and to perform a complete study on my own during my clinical rotation. In the previous semester, I had effective study habits and did very well in understanding the lecture materials, but I struggled with managing my time to study the materials for each class. The reason for this struggle was because of poorly defined goals or loss of motivation to study once I got home. In order to improve my time management I plan on purchasing a planner to keep me on track with my studies. I will be able to develop an efficient study schedule where I will allot a specific time to study for each class. I anticipate seeing progress in my time management

The Rapidly Changing Environment of Pediatric Echocardiography The first ultrasound images of the heart were described in 1954; however, it was not until the late 1970s that pediatric cardiologists used any form of ultrasound. At that time, M-mode began to be seen as a useful tool for pediatric cardiologists. Pediatric cardiologists were able to decipher how to follow the course of a patent ductus arteriosus closure, estimate cavity size, prove mitral valve obstruction, and estimate valve gradients using only M-mode (Noonan, 2004).…

Andrew Delbanco in his article “3 Reasons College Still Matters,” he points out the importance of getting a college degree by saying that citizens must think of the benefits that they are going to get after they graduate from college. He gives three benefits when students get a college degree, and these benefits are: economically, politically, and intellectually educated. It sounds good to have such benefits, but nowadays, with all the development in technology that we have and all the things that make our life so easy, we depend every day more on technology.
