Ebp Reflection

EBP is the way forward in every organization to provide the best of care and have the best patient outcome. In this 21st century, all healthcare organizations especially hospitals strive to incorporate EBP in all aspects of their daily activities. In a perfect world, my vision for EBP in the organization where I work will be one that will be mandated in every unit and department across the organization. There will be assigned EBP coaches on every unit that will ensure all practices are aligned with the best available evidenced based practices. All employees will be mandated to execute and adhere to these evidence base practices which will in turn promote best practices, ensure best patient outcome and overall best satisfaction for patients and their families. Patient and families now seek healthcare from organizations with EBP and for organizations to attain a Magnet status they have to conform to evidence based practices in their respective institutions. …show more content…
Prior coming into this course, I did not really appreciate the work it takes for an evidenced based article or research to come into practice. It really does a lot to conduct an evidenced based project. Some of the most challenging things I encountered during this journey of EBP was searching for the right external evidence and narrowing it down to align with your picot question because there are so many articles and so many resources to retrieve them from. Overall, I had a good experience with EBP during this semester by completing weekly activities that guided me through the process. Group work and discussions also made me appreciate the spirit of team work and respect the views of other
