C & K Manifold Case Study Chapter 4

As the OEM Company stresses the objective of implementing the C&K manifold project stated in Chapter I.2 of this Master Project Report (MPR), managing the C&K Manifold project in effective and efficient manner is very tough when there are competing technical issues related to Requirements, Product Range of Service Application and Design Changes. In addition, constraints like cost, quality, time and stakeholders expections are hard to balance due to the said issues. In order to come up with the best option to attain those objectives, it is my responsibility to get the specific, clear and measurable project requirements from the Provider. With the used of the sub-contractor from the free-zone area, duty charges are exempted and saves time in transportation. Also, the requirements gathered had revealed that materials can be categorized per C&K Manifold and may substitute by MS-12 from the consignment stock of approved Vendor but require additional Brinell Hardness (HB) testing before using it. The approach identifies and assesses the high level set of scenarios that have potential threats and opportunities in achieving the C&K Manifold project objectives. After the risk assessment is done, necessary mitigation strategy shall be put in place in terms of cost effectiveness and schedule impact. The mitigation plans how to reduce the risk of threats and explore the opportunities are documented. With this strategy, it will help me to implement the most efficient monitor and controls in managing the C&K Manifold project that bring the greatest benefit to the OEM
