So how do we prevent a true Ebola outbreak from occurring? According to Lillian, “... we should put a dome around Minnesota, leave Texas to the Ebola, and then people can move to Minnesota. Or they can just stay in their state and put a dome around their state.” If plausible, this would seem like a good plan to me. She continued to reveal her schemes in stopping Ebola’s progression and the ideas only got better. I asked her how she might react if Ebola ever came to an area near us and she said, “I would hide under the couch with 500 bottles of hand sanitizer.” That might work for her but what would happen if a family member contracted Ebola? After pondering this question for a moment, I could almost see the light bulb go off above her head as she responded so intelligently with, “I would be thinking that I’m gonna have to jump into the car and drive this person to the hospital. If anyone else drives there, then I have to sit in there and get Ebola so we could just stuff the person with Ebola in the trunk.” As long as we follow these three rules for dealing with Ebola, we should be just fine. At least that might be what my sister believes. With a more solid education on the topic and less influence by the news and radio, she might have a better coping plan for any future Ebola
