Pursuing A Career In Nursing

Many students in Kapiolani Community College want to pursue a career in health field, most of them want to pursue a degree in nursing. I am one of those many students who wants to get the in the health field. I chose this path because I am very passionate of having career in health field. My passionate is helping the patients to make their life better. Specially, the homeless who need health care service. People that cannot afford insurance coverage. My plan is to join an organization that can help the people around the world that needed free check up and medicine. Organization such as Red Cross, UNICEF and much more. Countries around the world are needed of health care service due to the increase of different illness. One of the major illness that we are facing of is EBOLA. Ebola has been one of the problem we face in this world that is why many institution transform the future nurse to the best qualifier for the job. Different institution such KCC and more have to educate and train the nurses to know how to cure their patients with different disease. In the article, it continued to give example of what the nurses need to do to serve and deliver the fullest care the need to give to their patients. The three example that the article provided is “advancing education transformation, removing barriers to practice and care, and nursing leadership.” Advancing education it means that the future nurse need to acquire the recommended abilities and skills to be in the field. Skills such as knowing the antibiotic for different illness, knowing the bacteria that causes the illness and what is the best for their patients. Nurse need to learn how to be leader when there is a complex during the work and learn the clinical skills such as first aid kit and procedure. Nurse need to be a leader in their work to offer the highest quality to the patients and the family. The nurse need to explain the details to the family what is need to be done to cure the patients.
