Take a moment and picture yourself a year from now. You probably imagine yourself being the same size or smaller than you are now. You probably want to be able to run/walk a mile without having huge heart or breathing issues. You probably want to be healthy. Well if most of us continue to eat the way we do, none of what you imagine will be possible. Americans need to start eating healthier. An unhealthy diet is linked to four of the world’s top ten leading risk factor that cause death: high blood pressure, high blood glucose, overweight and obesity and high cholesterol (“New Consent Rules Threaten Public Health”). A lot of people can’t afford all the healthy stuff, but making that food cheaper would help with a lot of that. Also, businesses should promote the healthy food instead of promoting the unhealthy stuff. Some businesses, like Bread Co., have already started to show how healthy or unhealthy their food is on their menus, but we should have more food places doing this as well. There should be some sort of law or rule that doesn’t allow food companies to make their food look better than it really is. There is one cheese company that i know of that’s called ‘Real Cheese’. When people see this, they believe that it is actually real cheese but that’s not the case. If people became more educated about healthy eating, then I believe that more people would eat healthy. At schools, people should be educated about how to eat healthy and how important it is to eat healthy. Everyone should also be educated on how they can change the way they eat. There should be classes at school available for kids to take on healthy eating. We should have healthy fast food places available to us. Then if people really needed to stop for something quick, they could without being unhealthy. Along with all the things that we could or should be doing, there are things that you can do yourself to help with the way you

Transition, school is where bullying takes place the most and overweigh and obese children are especially targeted.
