Personal Narrative Essay: Having A Food From The Canteen

Decent Essays
I have decided to go grab some food from the canteen. I am actually starving, having ate next to nothing all day. Feeling this hungry isn’t a good thing however, I always seem to binge eat when I am absolutely starving. Binge eating then results in me feeling unmotivated and disgusting for the rest of the day.
I don’t have an issue with my weight really. I am a size eight but please believe me I have to work hard for this body. It is not easy either, let me tell you that right now!
I try to find the time to run three miles every other day, I literally have to. I don’t have a choice and I love food far too much for my own good. I also do an intense strength workout when I go to the gym, which reminds me there’s a gym in this university. Happy

Dreaming about the next lecture and thinking of how lucky I am to have a gym in the University when I bump directly into Chakotay.
“Miss Rose. How glad I am to have the chance to bump into you again. I have been meaning to talk to you about our conversation and apologize for how strongly I come across.”
“Don’t apologise but seriously hasn’t your mother taught you any manners? You were clearly talking about your girlfriend in your written piece. How you even have the audacity to flirt with me is beyond me?”
“How do you know I have a girlfriend Miss Rose? You are what I would call clueless.”
“No I am not. I just am not stupid. Maybe you can sense my attraction towards you and that is why you are trying to take advantage of me. Let me tell you now I am not that kind of girl and if you want any form of relationship with me you must leave your girlfriend.”
“Wait. Relationship? You have basically just admitted that you have feelings for me?”
“Why does that even matter when you clearly have a girlfriend?”
As must as I like this man and as much as I want him to be mine I am seething with anger right now and to think earlier on I was going to try and steal him from his woman. I am one evil

If hungry, it is okay to have a preference, but other options should still be desirable. If only content by eating things such as donuts or chips, “assume the urge to eat is emotional,” states Brody. There are some myths about binge eating disorders. I could hear them gossiping in the seat behind me on the bus, about Lyla, a cryptic like woman that lived on my block, about five doors away. She came out of a cab on crutches last night, which wasn’t a big surprise; because it wasn’t the first time she had been spotted like that. She spent much of the time wearing vast, dark glasses. Maybe she wanted an air of mystery, but the real mystery was whether she was hiding a black eye or not. “Well she is definitely putting up with something that she shouldn’t,” hollered the taller girl, with an air of authority.…

It is 3 am in the morning and I can not believe that I ended up here. The Nazi police are all surrounding me with their guns loaded aiming for me. It does not seem real, but they actually caught me. I held the soft, velvet fur coat in my freezing hands, I did not know what to say or do. “Miep Gies, you are going to be taken in for questioning,” spoke the Nazi man who wore a dark green outfit from head to toe.…

Today is going to be just like any other day, I sketched in my morning journal. The morning Baltimore sun shone past the skyscrapers of downtown, and light protruded through the silk blinds that covered half of the picture window in my room. I rose up from my queen bed. The sheets had become untucked and the comforter lay halfway off the edge. My back rested against the mahogany headboard with my head fitting perfectly between two of the wooden posts.…

I asked softly “Yes,” he pulled me closer to him and kissed the nape of my neck. I put my hand on his chest and gently pushed away from him looking intently into his eyes. I spoke again “I love you.” The words flowed from my mouth so effortlessly that it even took me by surprise to hear them. As he looked down at me his eyes twinkled and danced in the candlelight I waited there as he seemed to deliberate I began to feel antsy and a bit panicked.…

The memories began flooding my clouded mind as I was walking. 8th grade Billy had already began to distance himself, girls gawking over a new guy every week, and beatings became route. Halfway through I just couldn’t take the constant torture anymore. One day after returning home from another beating I broke down while walking through the door. With mom gone there was no instant alert at the sound of my wails of sorrow echoing through the halls.…

With my One Direction CD clutched in my hands, I started to close the distance by walking towards his car. I opened the door and slipped in, and then he started to drive to the grocery store. At the time I was under the illusion that my dad would be even slightly happy to see me, but no.…
