The health education I’ve had in high school so far haven’t addressed the issues about eating disorders. At my school, the only health related subject we ever talked about was mainly about anxiety, depression, molecules in the body, and DNA. It’s really strange not to learn about this because there are people who are affected by eating disorders at my school. I, personally had the privilege to learn about this topic in middle school but I’m not sure if my friends or classmates were taught before coming to my high school.
At my school, they try to put all of the fresh produce all around the cafeteria to encourage us to eat healthier. Which usually doesn’t work because they sell donuts, cookies, etc. and people buy them instead of a salad or an apple.
