The texts “Eat your Bugs” and “Insect Farmers...” By Miguel Villar and Laura Allen are similar and diffrent in meany other ways. First, both texts talk about eating bugs. For example, on page ”21 of “Eat Your Bugs”it states that if you're hungry and you're with friends and you go to a restaurant and the menu has bugs for food. ,and on page 1 of “Insect Farmers ” It talks about eating cricket tacos. This is similar because in the topic sentence they are both talking about eating bugs. In both cases… the author believes that eating bugs is not bad and people actually eat bugs.
A second similarity is in both texts they also talk about how people in other parts of the world eat bugs. For example on page_23_ …show more content…
One way the texts differ is…. In “Insect Farmers” it says that we need more bugs and in “Eat Your Bugs’’ it says we have plenty of bugs.On page_24_ of “Eat Your Bugs” the text states _But right now we have about 200 million bugs to feed the world. In contrast, on page __3__ of “Insect Farmers” it says We need more bugs .Millions and millions of more bugs. This information differs because one states that we have plenty of bugs and the other states that we need much more bugs. In conclusion… these reasons are why the texts are different.
Another difference is in Insect Farmers it says there are some problems with eating bugs and in Eat your bugs it doesn't mention problems with eating bugs. For example on page 1 of “Insect Farmers” the text states "The FDA requires that the food must be clean and wholesome – free from filth, pathogens, toxins,". In contrast, on page 24 of “Eat your bugs” it says _If you cook a bug it's good to eat. This information differs because one says you have to be careful and the other dosent. To sum things up...this is why the stories are also different.
In conclusion both texts have similarities and differences. They both talk about eating bugs and its ok to eat them and others say you have to be
