Lastly, the only other major problem that may impede some readers is that the font size changes quite often (perhaps this is due to viewing the book as an eBook). Nevertheless, it makes the reading a little difficult at times with the smaller

In the article Supporting Secondary Readers, the author talks about the different strategies that the teachers use to support readers that are having trouble. According to the author, 8.7 million fourth through twelfth graders struggle to read their textbooks everyday while in school (Ness, 80). If the students cannot read their textbook, then it makes it real difficult for them to try and learn the material they are required to learn. A reason to support this is that the students will not be able to comprehend what they have read, because they are not able to read the information accurately. There are a few places in my school where resource teachers provide language and reading support, as well as where they store instructional supports. As a bilingual teacher, I was especially interested in finding material supporting Polish instruction, and unfortunately my school/district does not have any Polish instructional supports, except for a few books in the library. As far as English and Spanish instructional supports are concerned, the list is very long. There is an abundance of leveled books, e.g. Fountas & Pinnell…
