1. Easy A’s main character Olive Prenderghast is a teenage girl who has no reputation in high school, she is rather unnoticed by her peers the majority of the time. However, Olive lies to her best friend about losing her virginity over the weekend and the known to be overly religious girl over hears the conversation. The rumor quickly spread throughout the entire school, emerging Olive from teenage anonymity to the most talked about student. Olive enjoyed her new reputation, once everyone thought she had sex she was the center of attention. Olive is persuaded by her homosexual friend to not actually have sex with him but to tell people that they had sex, that way he will not suffer from daily homophobic abuse any longer. Todd is the boy the main character Olive Penderghast has a crush on. In the past, Olive and him were forced into the game ‘seven minutes in heaven’ together. Olive secretly wanted to kiss Todd but Todd was a shy young boy who simply wasn’t ready to kiss someone so he asked Olive to pretend they kissed. Olive and him shared a connection as if the pretend first kiss was real. Todd is the school mascot, everyone on campus called him Woodchuck Todd. He also has a job as a waiter at Lobster Shack. One day after work he found Olive crying after her ‘date’ with a guy who only wanted to use her for her body. Todd offered Olive a ride home and admits to her how he truly felt about her. Todd asked to kiss her but Olive denies him and unlike the other guys Olive has been with, Todd does not force himself on her. At the end of the movie, Todd helps Olive get herself out of the horrible reputation she and the entire student body had created. Todd and Olive participate in the pep rally and tell everyone to tune into a webcast to see them have sex, but instead Olive told her story. The movie ends with Todd taking Olive out on her official first
