You may be surprised to learn how low our rates really are. They are currently about three or four times less than the daily rates at SeaTac’s parking facility. Even paying our daily rates for a week will generally save you over half of the weekly rate you’d pay at the airport. If cost is a concern to you at all, then you’ll quickly discover that off-site SeaTac Airport parking with Aeroparking is the obvious choice. Flying out of SeaTac just makes sense for a large number of Canadians.…

If the city must obtain the user fee through the income of individuals working in the city, a small tax would be much more fair than a flat fee. No longer would you have some people paying ten percent of their income to the fee like RAs while Professors and Administrators barely notice the three-dollar fee. At the very least they could implement a student exemption so students who are trying to work their way through college would not lose this small, but significant, fee. Another possible alternative to the fee is a very small sales tax. This tax would ensure that all who pay the fee are using the city service and would equate to a more fairly distribute cost as those who earn and consume the most would pay the highest fee.…

For apartment residents who own cars here in Queens, it is almost selfish for private apartment companies not to include enough parking space. From an economics perspective, the market for airport parking in the city of Melbourne would be a monopoly (assuming that this is limited to the parking that is a part of Tullamarine airport). A monopoly is defined to be a market type where is only one firm operating with absolute market power, with no close substitutes and a large barrier to entry. Firms operating in this market are required to have proximity to the airport, with a large area available for cars to park, and the resources to monitor and ensure the security of these vehicle. These factors require both significant capital and government approval beforehand – ensuring that entry into the market is near impossible.
