It forces me to step outside of my own comfort-zone and put the needs of others ahead of my own. Going to San Antonio has motivated me to put forth more effort to tackle issues like poverty and hunger, but I don’t want to stop there. I want to continue learning about global issues and pursuing ways to overcome them. People in the world—not just other countries, but in our neighborhoods and communities around us—need help.
