The easiest subject in school most would say. PE can be fun, draining, or help you get in shape. Physical education has taught me how to play a lot of sports and the rules for them. I have rolled my ankle in gym and lost lots of stuff. It can also be really competitive PE basketball games get really intense.
I first started participating in PE in elementary school. It is also the reason I fell in love with basketball. At a young age, I was already good at most sports because of my dad. My old school had basketball tournaments during lunch after you were done eating you could get up and play basketball. The principal would give us jerseys and let us pick our teams and we would play full court while everyone in the cafeteria was watching.

All of my favorite teachers that I ever had I still can see them and have an nice conversation. Only time I have a bad relationship with a teacher is when they treat me unfairly. Some teachers will write you up for something, but let others slide. Those become my worst teachers, but for the most part I have good experiences with my teachers. But my favorite teachers have good traits that make me feel happy to be apart of their class. My favorite subject in school never depended on the actual material. I was a straight A student. My favorite subject depended on the teacher and how much I liked being in their class. All through elementary, my favorite subject was math because my teacher loved me. WHen we did holy cards I was always the one to finish first and have all of them right. That teacher and I are still close till this day. Once I got to high school everything changed. The work was harder the teachers had low tolerance, but they made me mature a lot. The one teacher that always pushes me to do better is Mr. Reidelberger. I had him as my English teacher sophomore year and I started slipping. He would always tell me what I needed to do to succeed and I took

There are a lot of good teachers and a lot of bad teachers as well. A great teacher has a confidence that shows the student that the teacher is in charge. Along with that they also have a genuine concern for the students education .One of the greats in my mind is Mrs. Bobbie Gaile Rodgers. I respect her because of all she has done for me.…

When I was in elementary and middle school I didn't really have a subject preference. I was just okay at every subject and I couldn't find myself interested in anything particular. I didn't feel lost because I had plenty of time to decide what I wanted for myself that would make me happy. After a certain point in my life though, I have always had a preference for English, a preference that I didn't act on until recently.…

On the internet, there is a "meme" called the Asian grading system. Though amusing, it reveals some of the pressures that Asian Americans often face growing up with overbearing parents. Students without parents to push them struggle to catch up in the competitiveness environment that exists in high schools across America. I'm a victim of the race to perfection, academic excellence and the pressures of failure and shortcomings. I'm not the only one and I won't be the last.…

During high school I had a mostly positive experience. Most of my teachers encouraged me to express my own thoughts, and pushed me to succeed as a learner. I agree with some of the points that Boomer makes, however the rest of them are extreme. Boomer (1988, p.179) ‘You may accordingly see codification of education as a lethal form of hardening of the categories; an attempt to establish the clinic in the classroom; a manifestation of 1984’ Comparing schooling to Orwell’s 1984, a dystopian novel that persecutes individualism and independent thinking as thoughtcrime. This idea is ridiculous, as many teachers that I have come across have been quite open to discussion and push active involvement in the classroom.…

PE was one of the most exciting periods I had, but my favorite activity for PE was doing sports, the sports is so fun, the sports you can pick are always the best. One of my favorite sports we had in PE is pumpkin ball, because it's just like baseball but more joyful. Though, it could be really competitive in ways the kids think of, for me I do the sports for fun and not for competition. All my friends enjoyed PE, just not the running aspect.…

High School was a tough time for me when it came to academics. I was in all honors classes, dancing up to 8 hours a week and had a part-time job. I continually felt as if I was drowning in school work and the very industrial set up of many of my classes just made me feel worse. Most of my classes and teachers were structured like a factory and gave little to no room for creativity. As someone who loved art, I often found myself seeking refuge in the art department with my art teachers.…
