Early Years Research Paper

A child’s early years are the most critical for their development. The experiences or events that happen during this stage can have an impact on the child for the rest of their lives. There have been various changes that have occurred in my life that I believe influenced the type of person that I am today. I chose to do the timeline option because I felt that this was the best way to showcase my growth. The timeline will be the best for me to display the chronosystem concept and really show my growth over time. I see the type of person that I have become and how my experiences impacted it.

When I first came here, I had to learn to adjust and communicate with various types of people. Before my siblings were born, I would go to daycare and try to interact with different children. This was not really easy at this stage. Communication as child is a lot different because all a child wants to do is make friends, but not knowing how. This early stage is probably one reason why I am an introvert and like to keep a small, close group of friends. When my first sibling was born, my role as a child changed. I took on the role as a leader and was very protective of my sister. This is one of the reasons why I think it is in my nature to be a “Mama Bear” and it could be the reason why I strive to be the best person that I could be because I know that I have someone looking up to me. This also could be the reason why I am never really that jealous of my siblings. I always wish to show the idea of love to them. The family trips and parties that were attended during my childhood were important to me because these were the things that showcased my culture and background.
