The government define early years as the time between birth and 31 August following a childâ€TMs 5th birthday (in Wales this is extended to the age of 7). As part of the Every Child Matters agenda and the Childcare Act 2006, it became and entitlement for all 3-4 year olds in England to receive a free, part time education up to 15 hours per week.
As this is a great time of growth and development in a childâ€TMs life, the quality of education that they receive is very important.
There are a great variety of organisations and groups that can provide education at this level.
