Early Start Times In High School

Only fourteen percent of public high schools start no earlier than 8:30 a.m. Schools start earlier for valid reasons in their opinion, however they do not see the effect on the students. Because of these early start times students are more likely to get into car accidents and develop health problems. Having students wake up and go to school early causes many difficulties to the students.
District workers and parents find many ways that early start times can help teenagers. One way that they believe can help us is that it is safer to travel if you are walking to school earlier in the morning. However, if the students are sleep deprived they will not be as aware of their surrounding which would be dangerous for them. Along with this it also would
