Early Head Start Programs: Montessori And Reggio Emilia School

After reading about preschool programs, Early Head Start programs and the different methods (Montessori, and Reggio Emilia). I will prefer to use all three. According to Martorell et al., (2014) “Montessori and Reggio Emilia schools and the Head Start programs are structured to provide children with the cognitive and developmental foundation for successful academic performance” (pg.297). I believe that is exactly what our children need, a firm foundation for development. Every child are unique and learns differently. Some may need that hands on one on one learning.     I had the privilege to observe in a Capital Area Head Start program pre-kindergarten classroom. This was quite an eye-opening, and valuable learning experience because of the level of diversity that goes on in one of these classrooms.
