Early Head Start is an educational program that supports the mental, social and emotional development of children from birth to age 3. It is a program that is designed to help families of low income. The program provides continuous, intensive, comprehensive services. In addition to educational services, the program provides the children and their families with health, nutrition, family-goal setting, social services, transition services, services with disabilities, social and emotional health, and parent involvement of education and volunteer. It is a center based services that delivers early learning, care and experiences to children in an early care education setting. The place is open Monday- Friday 8:00 am to 2: pm. The staff members are to also visit homes twice per year. The following is a case study of Lala Jones, an adolescent child of the age of 3 years old. She attends Early Head Start in Magnolia, Ar. This is her last year attending EHS and she will transition to Head Start. EHS has advanced Lala to improve in her social and emotional health.
