Early College Goals

Improved Essays
I believe that University of Alabama’s Early College program will help me achieve my college goals because it will give me a taste of what is to come and preparation for the future. Over the years, I've become very interested in the medical field and I would like to become a pediatric surgeon. As you may already know, pursuing this career requires almost a decade of education in and out of the classroom. This is an excellent way to take as many college classes in high school as I can so I can enjoy college and have an easier experience once enrolled as a full-time student. If I was to be accepted into this prestigious program I would work to the best of my abilities to be successful.

Being in my last year of high school I have begun to think about what goals I want to accomplish during college or after college. I have come to a conclusion that after college I would like to obtain my doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine and start a family. After college I would love to get my doctorate because I enjoy helping animals and their owners. Growing up I have always had a soft spot for animals in my heart, but by majoring in wildlife sciences, it will allow me to come out of my shell and take a different path from just dogs and cats. Also by majoring in this department, I hope to encounter different cultural backgrounds so that I can grow culturally and learn about others while helping them with whatever struggles they…

I think that the early college program is so interesting and there are many students at my high school participating as well. Though I am not enrolled in the program, I am able to take advantage of the courses offered and love having the opportunity to take dual enrollment classes through the college, such as this one, while still being around other kids my age. Does that mean that the other fifty percent of Americans read non-fiction?…
