My desire to become a primary teacher in early childhood studies started at a young age but it has only been the last two years that I have been more determined that teaching is a career for me. Working with children gives me an overwhelming joy. In addition to the National curriculum children can learn valuable life lessons from primary education which helps them to grow mentally and emotionally into lovely mature adults. Being a part of this is what drives me forward to gain my teaching qualification and to be a good role model.
I have gained experience from a voluntary placement in a nursery and I’m currently doing a voluntary placement in a local primary school, which I really enjoy. I gathered further experience outside my own personal experiences with my own family, which has allowed me to develop my skills in child development. These placements have allowed me to understand how to interpret children’s facial expressions and reactions and ways to communicate through non

I learnt how teacher interactions can help with behaviour management. I was able to work with groups of children to help them carry out research about local men that were serving in world war one. I also took part in group reading sessions listening to children read and offering help and support with tricky words.
During my placement I was able to support and care for both children and their families, I like to be able to go the extra mile to make sure parents and children are happy with the level of care being provided. This is an important role in building healthy relationships with the patients and carers of children. I believe communication is key to caring relationships and a successful work place. I have demonstrated good communication skills whilst implementing work experience at a day care centre, for children aged zero to five years old. I implemented a few group activities with the children; I was able to enhance my communication skills when communicating with the children as I used a clear soft tone when conversing with the children, to ensure that the children understood what I was explaining. This is significant as good communication skills is essential in a health and social care setting for the reason that nurses need to communicate with the patient and also with their careers when conducting treatment so that the patient and their family are aware of what the nurses are implementing. In addition, it is important that nurses communicate with other health and social care professionals in order to receive the best advice and…

Philosophy Statement I have chosen to work in this field because I believe that early school years are the most significant in a child’s life as they lay the foundation for future education. True education is one that brings out the person’s potential. Education should encompass the whole child—intellectual, social, emotional and physical aspects of his/her being. Being a preschool teacher involves a true love for the career and working with children. "…

I want to study early childhood education because I feel that I have what it takes to help young children open their minds to learn and engage while also helping them explore their imagination. I know it is not an easy task but our children need to start at a young age to get a head start to their lives and so it can build towards their bright future. Importantly I want to explore and get into the childhood education program so that I can help parents also, because once children are able to start learning at a very young age, their parents can benefit from that development and principles to go along with the teaching goals that we set as childhood educators. Childhood education is essential part of the education institutions of our public entities…

Early years of childhood have widely been recognised as the most important years of learning and development. “Research have shown the importance of these years to learn and acquire new skills” (DEECD, 2010), which have assigned a great responsibility to the educators working with the young children. As an early childhood educator, I feel that it is my responsibility to provide the high quality learning environment for the young children to learn, acquire and develop social, emotional, academic and technological skills. The following paper contains my philosophy statement, which includes my values and professional knowledge in relation to children, teaching and learning in early childhood education. Communication is important as it can help you understand what another person is expressing about their needs and concerns. It includes the ability to develop a relationship with other professionals or patients. Communication is vital in a clinical setting as it increases professionalism, eliminates possibilities for misconduct and enables the service users to receive the best possible care. I chose to reflect on my communication, as before I started this module I thought my communication skills were fine. But learning more about the different types of communications there are and how to use them in a practical situation, made me realise that there is a lot more to this skill and how much I need to develop to ensure that they are…

However, my second goal, which is related to communication and developing therapeutic relationships with patients, is still a goal I am unsatisfied with. To compensate and to eventually attain this goal, I constantly observe to other health care providers’ communication skills with their patients’. I believe that early childhood education is an essential for school readiness. Early childhood education plays an important role in children’s development in cognitive and social skills. At the age of three years old the children begin to develop more rapidly. Children progress in their physical, social, intellectual, and emotional. According to The Urban Child Institute, studies have shown that “from the ages of 0 to 3, a baby’s brain grows to 80% of its adult size and is twice as active as adults”.…
