When entering the classroom, each of our activities is timed to include passing time and seating and organizing time. Activities and instruction are planned to extend the individual child’s development and concentration needs. early childhood philosophy
This program focuses on the development of the whole child through active exploration and child initiated choices. From 8 to 9 a.m. and from 4 to 5 p.m. children are encouraged to choose the free play that lures them. Active exploration occurs during our outside play from 11:30 to 12:25 p.m. and through our curriculum for our academic work (10 to 10:30). From 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. the children can choose from our curriculum activities (art, music, sensory, fine motor, and dramatic play).
