Though there have been attempts to create a definitions of what early childhood leadership is and how it is viewed in society, there is still this discourse of early childhood leadership to be lesser leadership role compared to one of a principal of a primary school or high school. As I am a new trained early childhood educator I have had a chance to experience the research and ideas of the importance and need for early Childhood leadership. If early childhood education is seen to important as the early years of a child's life a critical why is there no advancement in how early childhood leadership is valued and researched. Though there are contemporary researcher and theorist in today’s society creating awareness of early childhood leadership, there are only these few researchers which are researching these ideas its providing educators, governments and society with this knowledge presenting only one side of their beliefs.
