Early Childhood Education is the practice of educating younger children. It inhabits much of our government economy. Many districts receive state funding for providing early childhood education. Some districts receive funding based on their disability program with early education. Some other districts receive funding based on demographics and economy of the town. These particular schools are known as head start schools. The tremendous climb in early childhood education has shown just how important educating young children are to society (Farquhar & White, 2014).
Many theorists explained what education should be like for children. Rousseau, Pestalozzi, Dewey and Piaget explained that children develop naturally. It is through play, exploring, and discovering that children truly learn and develop. When children can feel free and not scared of mistakes, learning can really take off. As a result of this, the children aren’t afraid to take chances because through these chances does true exploration and discovery happen. According to Shearron and Cryan, it is important that children are placed in environments where learning is fostered, expected and easily assessable. However, Teachers are just as important to have in these environments. This is where the bases of the child’s learning can start.
