While the teacher is in the classroom, he/she is one resource for the children to you. This doesn’t mean that he/she is the sole resource. The teacher will have different centers for the children to explore and discover things on their own and practice skills in an authentic situation. This allows their minds to think outside of the box and come up with their own conclusion about things. Arranging centers within the classroom, will give access to hands-on activities, which will allow students to adequate time, space and materials to reinforce their discoveries and originate their own thoughts and ideas. …show more content…
This is when children can have the opportunity to study things that interesting, meaningful and important to their life. When creating the curriculum, we base it off the interest that has stimulated with motivation and passion for learning. A way this can happen, is to ask children and parents what are some significant topics that interest them. By doing this, it allows everyone to feel as if they have part ownership in the making of the curriculum. By feeling this way, parents will want to help their children reach the necessary goals set for them. While the children themselves will want to reach those
