My center’s mission is to help children reach their fullest mental and physical potential. Every child has a uniqueness about them, however, they still need security, care and an atmosphere that will stimulate them as they grow. It will also help with maturing their emotions, increase intelligence, increase physically strength and help them become more social. Parents and children need to feel that the center is an environment that is sage, give support to risk-taking and welcomes create ideas. Our mission is to: 1) Have the teachers’ guide the children to meet their potential, 2) Allow all children to express their natural curiosity to help them learn and 3) Everyone is given the same respect they deserve.
While the teacher is in the classroom, he/she is one resource for the children to you. This doesn’t mean that he/she is the sole resource. The teacher will have different centers for the children to explore and discover things on their own and practice skills in an authentic situation. This allows their minds to think outside of the box and come up with their own conclusion about things. When creating the curriculum, we base it off the interest that has stimulated with motivation and passion for learning. A way this can happen, is to ask children and parents what are some significant topics that interest them. By doing this, it allows everyone to feel as if they have part ownership in the making of the curriculum. By feeling this way, parents will want to help their children reach the necessary goals set for them. While the children themselves will want to reach those
